We are looking for a Senior Designer with a visual identity specialism. Someone who has fantastic experience within branding and creating visual identity systems, to join an exciting agency who creates award-winning and impactful visual identities for global clients. They need someone who specialises in visual identity, and truly understands how to reach the desired target audience through innovative and memorable design.
The ideal candidate will be confident, versatile and entrepreneurial in spirit. A Senior level Designer who knows how to move a project forward. Must have an excellent understanding of creative communications and a well-developed approach to visual design and crafting logos. Visual identity specialists tend to intuitively present their work in the format of Logo – Toolkit – Application, so we are looking to see examples of this type of work.
Essential Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience crafting brand identity systems and communications
- Portfolio full of visually inventive design, with a particular focus on creating logos
- Crafted design, ideas and typography and identities that go beyond basic lettering / word mark identities
- Evidence of using crafted ‘graphic properties’ that play a pivotal role in the identity system
- Identity projects where there are many different expressions of the identity that all hang together
- An ability to generate ideas, implement strong design and progress a project
- Not looking for trendy art direction work, more brand identity ( and systems) led
- A systems thinker (working with sub-categories in brands)
- Advanced technical skills – Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
- A creative vision supported by strategic thinking
- An expert eye for detail, design, pixel perfection, layout and typography
- Great understanding of the commercial world and how brands need to reach audiences
- Experience working with a global brand over a long period of time and across many channels/platforms
- Highly organised and capable of managing deadlines efficiently
- Skilled in storytelling, and creating a narrative through design
- Excellent communication skills, able to construct presentations, clearly telling the story and selling the work
- Positive attitude, curious mind and ready to deliver innovative work
Must have a right to work in the UK and happy to work in East London office on a hybrid basis
