We’re partnering with a leading experiential production company specialising in design-led builds, installations, and immersive brand experiences. Their work powers high-end events, retail activations, and bespoke fabrication projects for major brands.
They’re now looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Production Manager to join their team and lead projects from brief through to flawless delivery. You must be based in Essex or able to easily commute to the workshop, as this role requires regular onsite oversight of builds, installs and production operations.
You’ll be the engine of each project, owning timelines, budgets, workflows and stakeholder communication, ensuring every build is delivered on time, on budget and to exceptional standards.
You will be working closely with Operations, Producers, Freelancers and Technical Specialists.
Essential Requirements:
- Lead end-to-end production management across fabrication, installations, live projects and immersive environments
- Run and oversee all project briefings, WIP sessions and onsite production meetings
- Drive production schedules to ensure deadlines are met and communicated clearly
- Manage budgets, cost monitoring and financial reporting across projects
- Input, update and manage production timelines, assigning tasks to in-house teams and subcontractors
- Maintain strong client relationships, issuing updates, timelines and WIP images throughout
- Liaise with suppliers to secure best pricing, materials, quality and timelines
- Oversee onsite operations, installations and client sign-off
- Maintain efficient workshop practices and asset management
- Ensure exceptional attention to detail, quality control and best-practice production standards
- Champion innovation, exploring new materials, construction methods and creative build solutions
- Safeguard the company’s reputation through professionalism, communication and reliability
Who you are
- A proactive, positive Production Manager with proven build/fabrication experience
- Skilled at managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Highly organised with strong communication and client-facing skills
- Confident reading drawings, artwork files and technical plans
- Flexible, adaptable and happy to work occasional non-standard hours when projects demand
- A team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for experiential, live events and creative build
- Comfortable leading both in-house teams and freelancers onsite
Essential skills
- Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Experience in production management, scheduling, costing and budget management
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to take dynamic WIP images and communicate progress clearly
- Understanding of H&S, sustainability practices and RAMS
- Onsite build supervision experience
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively
